Riaz Ali Khan, a remarkable vocalist from the illustrious Sham Churasi Gharana, excels as a South Asian Classical Music virtuoso, hailing from Pakistan.

Under the guidance of the legendary Ustad Muhammad Hussain Shami, alongside Ustad Niyaz Hussain Shami and Ustad Dilawar Hussain Shami, Khan honed his craft. He ascended as an official disciple of his cousin, the renowned Ustad Salamat Ali Khan Sahab. Khan has graced numerous international stages, notably collaborating with Peter Gabriel in Malaysia and England. Notably, he composed and sang for the album “Sampooran” with Mehkal Hassan Band, though faced deceit over authorship credits. Khan’s illustrious 67-year career spans radio, television, and film, contributing iconic OSTs to Pakistani dramas and movies like “Qaid e Tanhai” and “Khuda k liye.”

Despite battling illness since 2008 without governmental support, Khan remains resolute, aspiring to share his voice globally while yearning to reconnect with his Indian roots.
