Okediji Femi Samuel (born 1995, Ibadan, Nigeria) is a sculptor whose practice merges classical sculpting traditions with contemporary African narratives. His artistic foundation was laid at The Polytechnic, Ibadan, where he completed a National Diploma in General Art, followed by a Higher National Diploma in Sculpture from Yaba College of Technology. At YabaTech, he refined his command over form, material, and spatial storytelling.
Femi’s professional growth accelerated during his time at the Universal Studios of Art, National Theatre, Lagos, where he trained under eminent sculptors including Bunmi Babatunde, Patrick Agose, and Boma Joe Jim. These experiences shaped his approach to creating works that evoke dialogue, identity, and emotional depth.
His sculptures explore the intersections of environment, humanity, and evolving cultural memory, often drawing from personal and communal experiences. Exhibited widely across Nigeria, Femi’s works continue to gain recognition for their craftsmanship, conceptual clarity, and the compelling narratives embedded within each piece.
