Asavari Pawar, celebrated as the "Dancing Jewel of India," is an award-winning artist whose illustrious legacy and profound mastery of Kathak have made her a dynamic cultural ambassador and educator.

Asavari Pawar, celebrated as the "Dancing Jewel of India," embodies a rich legacy from her father, Padmashri Guru Pratap Pawar, MBE, an eminent figure of the Lucknow Gharana of Kathak. Her dance journey began at age 8 with her father's troupe, Triveni, in London. Early recognition came with The Major Award, named after Prime Minister John Major, setting the stage for her illustrious path. 

Educated in the UK, Asavari honed her skills under her father's guidance. Returning to India, she trained intensively with Pt. Vijay Shankar in Kathak and learned classical singing from Smt. Girija Devi. Her artistic pursuits included English Ballet and African Folk, enriching her versatile repertoire.

Asavari's performances captivate with expressive storytelling, scintillating spins, and vibrant footwork. Fluent in multiple languages, she founded "Kalaashish" to promote global art and dance. Her contributions to arts journalism and education have garnered prestigious awards, affirming her as a dynamic cultural ambassador.
