Urmi Dani, an illustrious Mumbai-based artist with 35 years of expertise in Bharatanatyam, Folk Dance, Calligraphy, Yoga, and singing, is renowned for her leadership at Natyakala Academy and numerous distinguished achievements.

Urmi Dani, an illustrious artist from Mumbai, India, boasts a remarkable 35-year career in Bharatanatyam, Folk Dance, Calligraphy, Yoga, and singing. Her journey began at six under her late mother's mentorship, fueling a lifelong devotion to her art. Since 1987, she has been the Artistic Director of Natyakala Academy of Bharatanatyam, nurturing numerous talents. At just 23, she made a significant mark by guiding her first batch of students through their Arangetram, one of the youngest Gurus to do so.

Her impressive credentials include a National Scholarship, Nritya Visharad, a Master's degree in Bharatanatyam, UGC-NET qualification, a Guinness World Record, and the 2023 Maharashtra State Award for Best Teacher. Urmi's dedication to Bharatanatyam is evident through her performances, workshops, and ongoing Ph.D. research, continually enhancing the cultural landscape and inspiring the next generation of artists.
