Rashmi Uppal, Founder and Artistic Director of NITYAM in Jaipur, is a distinguished authority in Kathak dance. Her journey began under Smt. Bharti Gupta and flourished at Kathak Kendra, New Delhi, where she earned a Post Graduate Diploma and Fellowship. She refined her craft under Ms. Aditi Mangaldas, obtaining the Alankar degree from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, Mumbai. Ms. Mangaldas, the visionary behind The Drishtikon Dance Foundation, has mentored Rashmi, who was a dedicated member for nearly 15 years.
A senior member of Kathak Kendra and The Drishtikon Dance Foundation, Rashmi’s artistry earned her the Shringmani title from Kal ke Kalakar. She has conducted impactful workshops in Delhi, featured by NIE, Times of India, Kahani Festival, and SPIC MACAY. As an ICCR-empanelled artist and Delhi Doordarshan-graded performer, Rashmi has captivated audiences globally, including the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Germany, and beyond. Rashmi showcases Kathak’s rich heritage through compelling performances, inspiring future generations of dancers.
