Rama Vaidyanathan is an eminent Bharatanatyam artist from Delhi and the President of Ganesha Natyalaya, whose work has significantly shaped the global classical dance landscape. Trained under the legendary Guru Yamini Krishnamurthy and Guru Saroja Vaidyanathan, she has continually expanded the expressive and conceptual horizons of Bharatanatyam.
Her artistic journey has been recognised with prestigious honours including the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi Award (2013) and the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award (2017). Known for her exploratory and contemporary perspective, Rama often engages with unconventional themes and linguistic diversity, revealing nuanced insights while challenging conventional interpretations within the classical form.

Internationally celebrated, she was conferred the title Nrityakalanidhi by the Music Academy, Chennai.
