Naveen Javda, an acclaimed Kathak artist and choreographer, has an 18-year career characterised by international recognition, esteemed mentorship, and significant contributions to classical dance education and performance.
Naveen Javda is a renowned Kathak artist, choreographer, and trainer with a formidable 18-year career. Under the mentorship of Pandit Rajendra Gangani, Naveen honed his craft at Kathak Kendra, New Delhi. Beginning his journey at age three, he has dedicated his life to this classical dance form.
Naveen holds an M.A. and B.A. in Kathak, a Post Diploma from Kathak Kendra, and a Senior Diploma from Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad. A graded artist with Doordarshan and a faculty member at Prayag University, he has made significant contributions to dance. His international performances include the Silk Road Festival, India Week Festivals in Algeria and Mauritius, and the ABU International Dance Festival in Hyderabad. In India, he has performed at the Taj Mahotsav and the Delhi International Arts Festival. Naveen’s commitment to Kathak is evident in his dynamic teaching methods and his ability to inspire the next generation of dancers.
