Nafeesuddin and Aneesuddin Dagar, acclaimed as the Dagar Brothers, ascended to prominence after a seminal performance in Jaipur, Rajasthan, in 1999, marking the 20th generation of the revered Dagar lineage. Sons of the esteemed Dhrupad master Ustad Sayeeduddin Dagar, they began their musical journey in Delhi under his guidance and that of their illustrious uncles.

Their unwavering commitment to Dhrupad has taken them to prestigious venues across India, including the Swami Haridas Sangeet Sammelan and international stages in Cologne, Paris, Amsterdam, and beyond. Dhrupad, the oldest form of Indian classical music, finds its embodiment in the Dagar Brothers' soulful renditions, characterized by the meticulous application of vocal fundamentals. Their artistry preserves a tradition that traces its roots to the ancient Prabandh and Sam Veda, ensuring its resonance into the 21st century.
