Under Guru Late Ustad Rashid Khan of Rampur Sahaswan Gharana, her musical journey blossomed. Koyel's brilliance shines in soulful khayal performances, uniquely shaped by the Rampur Sahaswan style. With command over Sargam, Taankari, and Tarana, she infuses distinct tonal quality and style into her music. Academically excelling at Rabindra Bharati University, she earned accolades, including the Akhil Bhartiya Pratibha Puraskar.
