Jorge Filipe Pereira embarked on his transcendent musical odyssey in 2004, rooted deeply in the cultural tapestry of Porto. His profound journey into the realms of musical theory commenced at the prestigious Escola de Jazz do Porto in 2010, where he was inspired by luminaries such as Yusef Lateef, Don Cherry, and John Coltrane.

Fueled by an insatiable curiosity for the mystique of the East, he ventured into the enchanting world of Indian Classical Music, immersing himself in the soul-stirring rhythms of the tabla amidst the sacred city of Varanasi in 2015. In 2019, driven by an unwavering quest for artistic excellence, he sought enlightenment in the vibrant city of Calcutta, continuing his musical pilgrimage under the esteemed mentorship of Pandit Shubankar Banerjee at the illustrious Taalsen Academy. Despite the profound loss of his revered teacher, Jorge remains resolute in his devotion to his craft, with music serving as his guiding light and the tabla as his chosen medium of soulful expression.
