Hrisav Sarkar: Where Tabla Becomes Poetry

Hrisav Sarkar, a prodigious talent nurtured within the rich heritage of Indian Classical Music, embodies a legacy of excellence under the esteemed guidance of maestros, showcasing unparalleled mastery as a tabla virtuoso and acclaimed performer.

Hrisav Sarkar, born in 2002 into a lineage steeped in Indian Classical Music, began his musical journey at age 8 under the guidance of his father, Sri Dipankar Sarkar. Embracing his heritage, he trained under the legendary Tabla virtuoso Pandit Subhankar Banerjee of the Farukhabad Gharana at Taalsen Music Academy. Following the maestro's untimely demise, Hrisav continues his rigorous training under Pt. Arup Chatterjee.

Hrisav's talent has earned him top honors, including the "Tabla Nawaz" title at the 2022 Classical Voice of India competition. He has also excelled in prestigious competitions such as the Dover Lane Music Competition and the Pandit Jnan Prakash Ghosh Memorial Tabla Competition. His performances, both as a soloist and accompanist, have graced renowned stages across India, solidifying his status as a distinguished artist in Indian classical music, driven by a legacy of excellence and a passion for rhythm.
