Hrisav Sarkar, born in 2002 into a lineage steeped in Indian Classical Music, began his musical journey at age 8 under the guidance of his father, Sri Dipankar Sarkar. Embracing his heritage, he trained under the legendary Tabla virtuoso Pandit Subhankar Banerjee of the Farukhabad Gharana at Taalsen Music Academy. Following the maestro's untimely demise, Hrisav continues his rigorous training under Pt. Arup Chatterjee.
Hrisav's talent has earned him top honors, including the "Tabla Nawaz" title at the 2022 Classical Voice of India competition. He has also excelled in prestigious competitions such as the Dover Lane Music Competition and the Pandit Jnan Prakash Ghosh Memorial Tabla Competition.
