Ashok Namdeo Hinge is a Mumbai-based contemporary visual artist whose practice explores the expressive potential of line, gesture, and movement. He holds an M.F.A. (by Research) from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad (2023), a B.F.A. from the Government School of Art, Aurangabad (2000), and an Art Teacher Diploma from Pragatkala Mahavidyalay, Ahmednagar (1998).

Hinge has received several prestigious honours, including awards from The Art Society of India, the Prafulla Dahanukar Merit Certificate, and the Afaqs Foxglove Gold Award for Living Lines. His work has been presented in multiple solo exhibitions at leading venues such as Jehangir Art Gallery, Nehru Centre Art Gallery, and Dinodia 1x1 Art Gallery, alongside extensive participation in national and international group exhibitions.

Rooted in calligraphic discipline and indigenous visual consciousness, his art transforms line into a dynamic language of emotion, energy, and perception.
