Anita Thapar has been the voice behind some of India’s most memorable radio moments, effortlessly blending music, news, and conversations that have connected with listeners for decades.

Anita Thapar's journey began in 1983 with All India Radio’s Yuv Vani service, where she first delved into the world of broadcasting with In the Groove. By 1984, she moved to Delhi B, shaping the sound of western music programs like ‘Classical Showcase’, ‘Forces Request’, and ‘Jazz Time’, while also conducting a series of compelling interviews. In 2001, she transitioned to the News Services Division, where she continues to anchor major bulletins and host ‘Parikrama’, a well-regarded radio magazine. Alongside her Akashvani career, Anita has taken on voice-over projects, live show hosting, and documentary narration. She also taught voice communication skills to Indian Airlines and Air India employees, further extending her expertise beyond the airwaves. Her enduring presence in the broadcasting world is a reflection of her deep commitment and an unrelenting pursuit of excellence in communication and broadcasting.
