Dr. Amrita Dutta Mazumdar, hailing from Silchar, Assam, emerges as a luminary in the realm of classical music.

Born into a musically enriched family, she secured a First-Class Master's Degree in Vocal Classical Music from Ravindra Bharati University, Kolkata. Her academic journey continued with an M.Phil and a PhD in Vocal Music from the University of Delhi, mentored by the late Dr. Prateek Chaudhury.

Guided by stalwarts like Pandit Dinanath Mishra and Pandit Bholanath Mishra of Banaras Gharana, Dr. Dutta specializes in Thumri, Kajri, Chaiti, Dadra, Bhajan, Hori, and seamlessly navigates Ghazal renditions, showcasing the spiritual essence of the Banaras Gharana. Beyond her enchanting performances, Dr. Amrita Dutta is a dedicated educator, fostering a love for classical and semi-classical music through Surbhi Music Academy. Her institute serves as a vibrant platform for musical events, spotlighting emerging talents alongside established artists.
