Vishavdeep Sharma, an artisan of Kathak from the Jaipur Gharana and an 'A' graded artist of Doordarshan, captivates audiences worldwide with his award-winning performances and scholarly pursuit of a Ph.D. in Kathak Dance.

 Vishavdeep Sharma is an artisan of Kathak, crafting performances that blend elegance and profound emotion. A prominent figure of the Jaipur Gharana, he refined his art under Guru Narain Prasad, Guru Nandini Singh, and Guru Prerana Shrimali at Kathak Kendra. His dance transcends technique, weaving a seamless tapestry of narrative and expression. Recognized as an ‘A’ graded artist by Doordarshan, he has earned numerous scholarships from the Ministry of Culture and Sahitya Kala Parishad, underscoring his remarkable talent and commitment. 

During his esteemed tenure as an ‘A’ Grade Repertory Artist at Kathak Kendra, Vishavdeep captivated audiences both nationally and internationally. He has led insightful workshops and choreographed nuanced pieces inspired by poets like Meerabai and Ghalib. Academically, he is pursuing a Ph.D. in Kathak Dance from Punjabi University, holds an M.A. from Indira Kala Vishwavidyalya Khairagarh, and a B.A. from the University of Delhi. His accolades include the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Award and top honors in prestigious dance competitions.
