Mentored by Pt. Jaikishan Maharaj Ji, Sree Bandyopadhyay, celebrated Kathak dancer and founder of Sadhana-School Of Kathak, excels in performance and teaching, and is currently working as a Kathak dancer in Kathika Cultural Centre and Museum.
Sree Bandyopadhyay is a Kathak dancer and the founder of Sadhana-School Of Kathak. She holds a Master’s in Kathak from Indira Kala Sangit Vishwavidyalaya and completed her post-diploma at Kathak Kendra, studying under Pt. Jaikishan Maharaj Ji. Sree received a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture for the Hum Paanch project. She is certified by Pracheen Kala Kendra and trained under Guru Sri Sandip Mallick. Additionally, she is a certified Yoga Master Trainer, an accredited artist with Doordarshan Kendra, and a SPICMACAY empaneled artist. Sree has performed solo at festivals such as Ghat Sandhya Varanasi and Khajuraho Festival, and participated in group performances at events like the Abu Awards and Khurdah Jila Festival. Her dedication and skill have established her as a respected figure in classical dance. Beyond her performance career, Sree is committed to teaching and nurturing the next generation of dancers. Currently, she is working as a Kathak dancer in Kathika Cultural Centre and Museum.
