Shobhit Ramesh: The Dance Poet of Bharatanatyam

Shobhit Ramesh, a Bharatanatyam dancer from Bangalore, brings a rich training background under distinguished gurus to his performances, blending technical finesse with expressive depth.

Shobhit Ramesh, a passionate and skilled Bharatanatyam dancer from Bangalore, has been shaped by an eclectic array of gurus. Initially trained by Smt. Usha Uni and Smt. Vasanta in Kerala, his artistry was further refined under Sri Prem Menon in Dubai. At the Upadhye School of Dance, he studied with Sri Parshwanath Upadhye, Sri Adithya PV, and Smt. Shruti Gopal. He continues his advanced training under Sri Mavin Khoo. A performer and instructor, Shobhit's notable performances include "Hara" and "Chitrangada" with Punyah Dance Company, "Mandala" by Sampradaya Dance Company, and "Tiruchendur" with Smt. Karuna Sagari.

His work has been celebrated at festivals like Jharna 2023, where he explored Sufi philosophy, and at Nalanda Yuva Nrutyotsava, earning him the Nalanda Nrutya Nipuna award. He has participated in the DIP 2023 cohort and the Thennangur Camp, reflecting his dedication to the art form.
