Shashiprabha’s Cultural Quotient

Shashiprabha Tiwari is a creative journalist (arts and culture) and researcher with a postgraduate degree (M.A.) from Ranchi University in 2000 and an M.J. (Master of Journalism) from Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication in 2008. Over the past two decades, she has actively contributed diverse writings, with a focus on arts and cultural journalism, published nationally. Currently serving as a member of the Film Certification Board, she was awarded the Senior Fellowship by the Ministry of Culture for 2019-2020. In 2021, her book 'Shastriya Nrityakaron Se Antarang Samvaad' was published, honored with the Vidyanivas Mishra Award by the Uttar Pradesh government. Shashiprabha has been a consistent participant in various cultural festivals, both nationally and internationally, representing India at the 9th World Hindi Conference in Johannesburg, 10th World Hindi Conference in Bhopal, and 11th World Hindi Conference in Mauritius. Her state-level cultural journeys include Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Punjab, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, among others. She has received several national-level honors for her creative endeavors, including the Rajiv Ratna Sadbhav Award, Sangeet Sadhika Award, Shabd Shilpi Award, Best Music Critic Award, and Manikanchan Kala Manjari Award. Recently, she was honored with the Acharya Abhinav Gupta Award in 2019. In 2021, the Uttar Pradesh government honored her with the Vidyanivas Mishra Award. For 2023, she has been awarded the Maharaja Vikramaditya Senior Fellowship by the Madhya Pradesh government.
