Sharon Lowen, an eminent Fulbright Scholar, has profoundly transformed the global landscape of Indian classical dance through her exceptional artistry, innovative choreography, and visionary cultural leadership.

Sharon Lowen, an eminent American Odissi dancer, has made remarkable contributions to Indian classical dance since 1975, training under the legendary Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra. A Fulbright Scholar, Lowen holds degrees in Humanities, Fine Arts, Asian Studies, and Dance from the University of Michigan. She has mastered Manipuri, Mayurbhanj Chhau, and Odissi under the tutelage of renowned gurus like Guru Singhajit Singh and Guru Krushna Chandra Naik. 

Lowen's illustrious career encompasses performances and choreography for film, television, and hundreds of concerts worldwide, including in India, North America, Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. Her dedication to the arts is evident through her NGO, Manasa-Art Without Frontiers, which fosters cultural exchange and education. Lowen's work has redefined the global perception of Indian classical dance, earning her accolades from peers and mentors alike.
