Roman Das is a progressive and renowned musician, percussionist, composer, and mentor, primarily known for his mastery of the Pakhawaj. With over a decade of dedicated practice, he has emerged as one of India’s most accomplished young Pakhawaj exponents. Continuously evolving, Roman explores various percussion instruments, blending Hindustani, Carnatic, Western, and Indigenous traditions. His performances evoke a surreal, transcendental experience, often compared to the enchantment of autumn’s moon. Roman has enriched his musical knowledge under maestros like the Gundecha Brothers and Ustad Bahauddin Dagar.
