Nanda Kumar: Choreographer and Mentor in Contemporary Dance

Nanda Kumar, a seasoned choreographer and faculty member at Christ University, specializes in contemporary and Mayurbhanj Chhau dance, integrating technology to enhance performances and mentor future dancers. 

Nanda Kumar is a seasoned dance professional and choreographer with a distinguished career spanning over a decade. Joining Sadhya (Unit of Performing Arts) in 2009, he received advanced training in contemporary dance and Mayurbhanj Chhau under the tutelage of Santosh Nair. His foundation in Funk Jazz uniquely enhances his contemporary style. Nanda’s expertise extends to leveraging technology in dance, resulting in acclaimed international performances at the Alcamey Dance Festival and Enwave Theatre Harbourfront in Toronto. He has also choreographed for global dance festivals in collaboration with Sampad South Asian Arts and Town Hall.

A recipient of the Delhi Government’s prestigious scholarship for contemporary dance, Nanda currently serves as a faculty member at Christ University, a leading institution in Delhi NCR. In this role, he focuses on nurturing and developing the next generation of dancers while continually contributing to the university’s esteemed dance program through his extensive experience and innovative approach.
