Namrata Rai, a Kathak virtuoso from Dehradun, has captivated global audiences with her solo performances since 2007. As an A Grade Artist with Delhi Doordarshan and an ICCR and Ministry of Culture’s Festival of India Cell appointee, Namrata stands at the pinnacle of Indian classical dance. Founder of the Rhythm Society for Performing Arts, she promotes Kathak through international workshops, festivals, and seminars. Her influence spans Northern Italy, Switzerland, Austria, France, the Netherlands, and Suriname.
Namrata’s choreography has been featured on Indian National Television and at the National Carnival in St. Lucia. She has conducted masterclasses at prestigious institutions such as the University of Vienna and Zurich Dance Academy. Namrata has also been a guest artist at numerous international dance festivals, including the Amsterdam India Dance Festival and the Suriname Cultural Exchange. Her work bridges cultural gaps and fosters a global appreciation for Kathak, making her a significant figure in the dance community.
