Moumita Ghosh is a highly accomplished Kathak dancer, vocalist, and percussionist with a proven track record of excellence in cultural arts and prestigious performances.
Moumita Ghosh is an accomplished Kathak dancer, singer, and percussionist with a rich and diverse artistic background. Beginning her artistic journey at 3.5 years old, she trained in the Jaipur Gharana under Vidushi Rumela Gupta, and later pursued traditional Kathak under SNA Awardee Vidushi Saswati Sen. Her advanced training with Padma Vibhushan Pt. Birju Maharaj at Kalashram refined her skills. Since 2008, Moumita has performed solo, earning accolades such as Vishesh Radha in 2009.
She has graced prestigious stages including the Khajuraho Dance Festival and Lalit Parv. Notably, she debuted solo at Kathak Kendra's Kathak Mahotsav in 2022 and supported fellow artists during the Covid-19 pandemic through online performances. Awarded the CCRT Scholarship in 2023, Moumita excels academically and continues training at Kalashram. Her vision is to inspire youth to appreciate India’s cultural heritage, marking her as a beacon of dedication and talent in the arts.
