Dnyanesh Bhoyar: A Voice Inspired by Tabla Heritage

Dnyanesh Bhoyar, a dynamic artist shaped by a rich musical heritage, effortlessly weaves the lyrical depth of Hindustani classical vocals with his unique insights, bringing fresh life to traditional forms as he teaches, directs, and performs across celebrated stages.

Dnyanesh Bhoyar, a versatile and accomplished artist, draws deeply from his rich musical lineage. Son of the esteemed Late Pt. Ramdas Bhoyar, a renowned tabla guru from Pune, Dnyanesh was first trained in laya-taal under his father’s watchful eye. From a young age, he pursued Hindustani classical vocal music, dedicating over 12 years to advanced training under Dr. Mohan Darekar. His vocal artistry reflects the lyrical beauty of Pt. Jitendra Abhisheki’s style combined with the intricate nuances of the Benaras Gharana, further shaped by mentorship from Pts. Rajan and Sajan Mishra. Dnyanesh is a Gold Medalist in both B.A. and M.A. from S.P. Pune University and a recipient of Sangeet Visharad.

Performing at prestigious festivals such as Om Brahmanaad and SurVandita, he is also a skilled music director, particularly in Kathak productions. Dnyanesh teaches at Om Brahmanaad Gurukul with his brother and serves as an associate professor at Shankar Mahadevan Academy.
