Anjan Mandal, a versatile artist with an M.Sc. in Physics and a B.Ed., masters Kathak, rhythm, contemporary dance, and Hindustani classical vocals.
Anjan Mandal is a versatile artist with an M.Sc. in Physics from Jadavpur University and a B.Ed. from Bhartiya Shiksha Parishad. He is honing his Kathak skills under Vidushi Durga Arya Ji, a disciple of Padma Bibhushan Birju Maharaj Ji. Anjan began his Kathak journey with Guru Shri Sandip Mallick, dedicating seven years to the craft. His rhythmic expertise flourished under Taal Vidya Guru Pandit Divyang Vakil Ji.
Anjan has also explored contemporary and ballet techniques with Rhythmosaic Dance Company and attended workshops by eminent artists. He has taught Kathak in Surabaya, Indonesia, earning acclaim for his award-winning choreographies. Currently, Anjan teaches at Dance Different Center and Bengal Music College in Kolkata and founded Raas Mandala Centre for Kathak. He also trains in Hindustani classical vocals under Shri Sreemanta Banerjee and has performed at prestigious festivals worldwide, underscoring his dedication to the arts and education.
