Akash Dwivedi: Tradition in Step with Innovation

Akash Dwivedi, a master of Kathak and versatile artist, seamlessly blends tradition and innovation, inspiring through his profound dedication to dance, music, and cultural heritage.

Akash Dwivedi's Kathak journey began with luminaries like Pandit Birju Maharaj and Vidushi Kamalini Dutt. He holds Alankar, M.A., and Diplomas in Kathak, and a Grade 'A' in painting from IGD Bombay. Proficient in Pakhawaj and Classical Singing, he trained under Guru Ravi Shankar Upadhay and Guru Rakesh Pathak at Kathak Kendra. From intern to member of Kathak Kendra Repertory, his dedication shines. He teaches at Saragam, Noida, and Satarang Institute of Dance, Dwarka, leading impactful workshops in Kathak and Yoga. 

Akash has showcased his talent at Rashtrapati Bhawan and Ustad Allauddin Khan Sangeet Samaroh. He is a graded artist from Doordarshan and an empaneled artist of SPIC MACAY. His performances span Champaran Mahotsav and Kathak Mahotsav. As director of ‘Agam Ek Yatra,’ he inspires through solo and collaborative choreographies.

Akash teaches underprivileged children under Sahitya Kala Parishad, Delhi government. His work with Aarambh (Raza Foundation) and Routes to Roots NGO highlights his commitment to preserving and promoting cultural heritage.
