Acharya Tanay Roy, a distinguished Charya Nritya and Odissi practitioner, has been honored with the prestigious title of Acharya Ratna. As a senior disciple of Guru Poushali Mukherjee, he has honed his craft to perfection. Acharya Roy holds a Master’s in Performing Arts from Rabindra Bharati University. He is the founder of the Mahabodhi Training and Research Centre of Arts in Tangla, Assam, where he dedicates himself to training and research in traditional arts. His exceptional contributions to the arts have earned him the Bodhi Dhamma Nidhi Samman from Ariya Bhikkhu Sangha, Jhewari, Chittagong, Bangladesh.

An empanelled artiste with the ICCR, Acharya Roy has performed nationally and internationally, showcasing his talent in Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, Bangladesh, Russia, and beyond. His performances are celebrated for their deep cultural resonance and artistic excellence, making him a revered figure in the global performing arts community, inspiring the next generation of artists and students.
