ABOUT THE AUTHOR
In the symphonic tale of Sulagna Halder Banerji, music found her at the tender age of four, guided by the enchanting melodies of her aunt, Shrimati Phalguni Bakshi. Her musical journey led her to Kolkata University, where she attained a Vocal Honours Degree, and to the hallowed halls of Allahabad University, where the Sangeet Prabhakar title was bestowed upon her. Sulagna's performances are like paintings in sound, meticulously crafting Ragas with the elegance of Alap, the flourish of Tans, the celestial Swargam, the lightning Boltans, and the rhythmic dance of Laykari. Her musical path was illuminated by esteemed mentors, including the illustrious Pandit Samaresh Chawdhury and the virtuoso Ustad Maskoor Ali Khan. Sulagna's musical journey is adorned with accolades like the Sur.O.Mani award from Mumbai, Sangeet Ratna from Delhi, Best Junior Vocalist from Indore, and the prestigious Sangeet Mani from Midnapur.
