Shovana Narayan, an eminent Kathak performer from India, is not only respected for her dance but also for her professional contributions as a member of the Indian Audit and Accounts Service. Performing across India and around the globe, she has been recognized for her contributions to the field of dance with the esteemed Padma Shri award. Her dance skills were honed under the expert tutelage of Birju Maharaj. Known as both a "performer and guru", Shovana has graced numerous esteemed domestic and international festivals with her performances. In addition, she has displayed her talent before a multitude of state heads and governments, while simultaneously guiding the younger generation of Kathak dancers. As a "choreographer-performer," Shovana has been at the forefront of producing and contributing to international collaborative works.
