Jorge Filipe Pereira's musical journey began in 2004 in Porto. He delved into musical theory at Escola de Jazz do Porto in 2010, inspired by artists like Yusef Lateef, Don Cherry, and John Coltrane. His curiosity led him to Indian Classical Music, studying tabla in Varanasi in 2015. In 2019, he continued his education in Calcutta under Pandit Shubankar Banerjee at Taalsen Academy. Despite his teacher's passing, Jorge persists in his musical pursuit, aiming to express himself through the tabla, an instrument he deeply reveres. His rhythms are a bridge between continents, resonating with the soul of music lovers worldwide, forging cultural connections through each beat.
