Inner Neutrality

For many years, I attempted to find positivity by reading books from motivational speakers. However, after extensive reading and experiences, I came to realize that the notion of being positive is not inherent to our Eastern culture. It has been largely propagated by Western speakers. The teachings of Guru Granth Sahib, Bhagavad Gita, Jain Wisdom, and Buddhism all emphasize embracing the middle path, where neither happiness nor unhappiness prevails, and where positivity and negativity lose their significance. This middle path, transcending both ends of the spectrum, leads to 'Ananda' or true bliss. Once attained, this state can be sustained for an extended period. Conversely, if one clings solely to positivity, they become akin to a pendulum, swinging from one extreme to the other. As a result, I've shifted my focus from pursuing positivity to striving for centeredness.
