In my perspective, there exists a profound interdependence and correlation among all things. Hence, I believe that loving kindness and compassion are of utmost importance in the current moment, as they foster a connection to nature and serve as a catalyst for harmony in our surroundings.
Sonali Loomba, a former corporate professional turned Kathak virtuoso, commenced her Kathak journey in 2006 under the tutelage of esteemed mentors. In 2017, she brought her passion for this classical dance to Utah, captivating audiences at renowned venues and events while enhancing her mental and physical well-being. Recognizing the imperative to preserve Kathak’s rich tradition, she established the Kaladharaa Dance School, dedicated to imparting its intricacies to the community. Sonali’s artistry has graced global stages, from the Hampi Utsav to the Utah Arts Festival, earning her acclaim in publications like ‘The Hindu’ and ‘Times Of India.’ Her innovative projects, such as “Passion for Percussion” and “Kathak in The Nutcracker,” seamlessly blend diverse dance styles, showcasing her creative prowess. Notably, her solo showcase “Aarambh” at Utah’s Eccles Theatre earned her the Mayor’s Ace award and a Utah Arts & Museum grant, solidifying her status as a Kathak luminary and a pioneering force in the realm of dance.
