The Inner Pace of Art

Artist’s Reflection

One inner conflict that has shaped me deeply is the constant balance between wanting to create and the pressure to constantly prove myself.

As artists, we often seek validation from audiences, institutions, and even from ourselves. Sometimes, that can distance us from the purity of why we began this journey in the first place.

I have struggled with the fear of not being enough, not doing enough, or not moving fast enough. But over time, I have realized that growth in any art form cannot always be measured visibly. Some of the most important transformations happen internally, through our learnings and through the journey itself.

That conflict continues to exist, but it has also made me more introspective and sincere in my practice. It keeps bringing me back to the same question: what is truthful for me as an artist, and why did I start this journey?
