Within every profession, there are inherent benefits and drawbacks. As a classical dancer, I frequently encounter individuals who aim to undermine my progress, seize my opportunities, and obstruct my path to mainstream recognition. To maintain a positive outlook, I prioritize distancing myself from these negative influences by minimizing unnecessary interactions with such individuals. Instead, I find solace in diving deeper into my own artistic work, dedicating time to rigorous practice (riyaaz), and nurturing my students. This focus not only shields me from negativity but also enables me to concentrate on my personal growth as a dancer, as an individual, and as a family member.
