Radhika Joshi is a highly accomplished artist in the field of Hindustani classical music, belonging to the revered Jaipur Atrauli Gharana. She has received extensive training under the guidance of Pt. Raghunandan Panshikar, a prominent disciple of Gaansaraswati Kishori Amonkar. Radhika’s musical journey includes the study of semi-classical forms such as Thurmi, Kajri, Hori, and Dadra, under the tutelage of Padmabhushan Smt. Girija Devi at the Sangeet Research Academy in Kolkata. Over recent years, Radhika has showcased her exceptional vocal talent at prestigious music festivals in India and abroad, including renowned venues like Ustad Abdul Karim Khan Smriti Samiti, Sangit Kala Mandir, and Sangeet Sankalp - Saptak. Recognised for her dedication to Hindustani music, Radhika is a recipient of the National Scholarship for Performing Arts from the Government of India and holds a graded artist position with All-India Radio. Her numerous accolades include winning the first prize in the Jod-Raga Spardha and the all-India contest Naman Sajan Piya. Apart from her musical pursuits, Radhika is a passionate educator, having conducted enlightening lecture demonstrations and authored the book “Phulwari Geeton Ki.” She has also founded Jaipur Gunijankhana, an archive dedicated to the preservation of Hindustani music. Radhika holds a master’s degree in economics from Tufts University, Boston, and a Ph.D. in Economics from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. She has chosen to dedicate her career to music, sharing her exceptional talent and preserving the rich tradition of Hindustani classical music.
