The Solitude That Sustains Art

Artist’s Reflection

I protect my inner sanctity very fiercely. For me, creativity cannot survive in chaos or emotional turbulence. It needs a certain quietness of mind and purity of intention.

Meditation, introspection, and most importantly, consistent riyaz are the spaces where I return to myself. My riyaz is something I try to protect deeply — to keep it nirmal… pure, sincere, and untouched by external noise or pressure.

In those moments of practice, there is no performance, no audience, no expectations. Only a dialogue between the body, the breath, and the tradition I have inherited.

That space of honest practice is what nourishes my creativity and keeps the joy of dance alive within me.
