What truly benefits me is quality interactions throughout my day – genuine eye contact, effective communication, and positive energy. It's essential to remember that even in seemingly limited situations, we often possess more options than we realize, which is a positive aspect to consider.
In 2004, Jorge Filipe Pereira embarked on a musical odyssey in Porto, later immersing himself in the enchanting realms of musical theory at the Escola de Jazz do Porto in 2010, all while drawing inspiration from luminaries such as Yusef Lateef, Don Cherry, and John Coltrane. Fueling his insatiable curiosity, he ventured into the intricate world of Indian Classical Music, where the tabla became his muse during a transformative journey in Varanasi in 2015. In 2019, his quest for knowledge led him to Calcutta, where he became a disciple of the revered Pandit Shubankar Banerjee at Taalsen Academy. Undeterred by his mentor's passing, Jorge remains unwavering in his musical devotion, seeking to channel his deepest emotions through the tabla, an instrument he holds in profound reverence. His rhythms now serve as a transcendent bridge spanning continents, resonating with the souls of music enthusiasts across the globe, forging profound cultural connections with every heartfelt beat.
