I've been raised in an environment where the melodies of God's kirtan and songs have been ingrained in me. To me, Lord Shri Krishna stands as the supreme philosopher. Guided by his teachings, the wisdom I've gained shapes the path of my life. Lord Shri Krishna's teachings, received through his earthly journey, form the foundation of my existence as his devotee. My life echoes the divine Leelas of Lord Krishna, marked by its ups and downs. Each sunrise brings a fresh canvas of experiences, diverse and transformative. From these encounters, whether favorable or challenging, we extract lessons. It's through these lessons that we enhance both our surroundings and the lives of others. As a dedicated artist, if we can bestow serenity and joy upon those around us, we contribute positively. Thus, armed with optimism, I embrace each distinct day, assimilating from the past, progressing forward, and striving to enrich the world around me – this encapsulates my life and philosophy.
Having dedicated two decades with profound affection, Hriday has mastered Sattriya and Kathak dance forms, showcasing his expertise as an Assamese dancer. Raised in a rustic village near Guwahati, Hriday Parash Kalita embarked on his artistic journey from a young age, gaining mastery in both Sattriya and Kathak dances. He achieved the Visharad distinction in both forms under the tutelage of Guru Bipul Chandra Das for Kathak, and Guru Bijoy Krishna Debogoswami and Guru Barnali Mahanta for Sattriya. Reflecting on his upbringing, Hriday recalls commencing his dance training at the tender age of seven, breaking the mold in a family of academics where dancing as a career was unprecedented.
