Farooque's father, Ustad Abdul Latif Khan, played a significant role in shaping his musical journey. Farooque began his musical career as a Staff Artist at All India Radio and made his solo debut in 1993 at the South Central Zone Cultural Center (SCZCC) in Jalgaon. His performances have graced prestigious music festivals across India, leaving a lasting impact. Notable highlights include appearances at SCZCC in Bangalore (1994), Sursingar Sansad's 'Kal Ke Kalakar' in Mumbai (1997), and Sanskar Bharti in Bhopal (1996).
