I do not subscribe to any formal school of thought, nor do I anchor myself to a particular religion or doctrine. If there is a philosophy I follow, it is disarmingly simple: be a good human being.
For me, goodness is not an abstract virtue. It is a daily practice. It means doing what makes you happy, while ensuring that your happiness does not come at the cost of someone else’s peace. It means living in a way that does not disturb, burden, or harm others. Freedom, in this sense, is deeply tied to responsibility.
I believe in being honest with oneself and equally honest with the people around us. Moral conduct is not about public display, but about private integrity. It is about knowing that your choices do not cause suffering to others, directly or indirectly.
To live well is to remain aware of how our actions affect those around us. It is to occupy a space in society where people can understand who you are, accept you as you are, and not feel wounded by your presence or your decisions.
This, in essence, is the only philosophy I follow: be kind, be truthful, be mindful, and above all, be human.
