Gotipua Dance Of Orissa

In this dance form, young boys are dressed up as girls and they perform on various traditional songs and dance routines. As this form of dance requires strenuous exercises and difficult body positioning, students have to follow a rigorous routine to keep themselves fit and supple. The students of the Nakshyatra Gurukul perform at various celebratory events and annual functions.

ABOUT THE DANCE MASTER
BIJAY KUMAR SAHOO is the founder director of one of the youngest organisations working in the field of Gotipua Dance. Bijay is also a classical dancer himself.
